Strategic Foresight: Identifying Signals of Change - Members

• No experience in strategic foresight or futures thinking is required for this micro-credential.  
• You will be asked to use a focal area of your choice throughout the micro-credential. We recommend using a focal area that you are familiar with.  Previous focal areas range from affordable housing, to footwear, to ballet. 

The ability to identify emerging signals of change today to explore possible futures is a highly useful and relevant skill in any role, in any industry. This micro-credential equips learners with knowledge and tools to enact flexible, futures focused, decision making, while furthering creativity and critical thinking skills. Strategic foresight can help address immediate and short-term challenges, while articulating long-term visions for systems level evolution.

Yes! While this is a self-paced program, run in an asynchronous format, we have also built in opportunities for synchronous interactions through our live, weekly, optional discussion sessions. These will give you an opportunity to interact with your peers, clear doubts about any specific topic with your program facilitator or just share your learning journey. Sessions will be held over Zoom.

• The pace and structure of each module allowed for absorption of material. 

Every module includes an activity. You do not submit your activity each week, and instead at the end of module 7 you will submit a final report that integrates all the activities together. To create this report, you are expected to use the activities and tasks you developed during each module. This activity is grading using Pass/Fail.

Upon successful completion of the final report, you will be awarded your Strategic Foresight: Identifying Signals of Change Micro-credential! Badges are issued via the platform BCdiploma.
