Leadership, both within and beyond formal structures, is integral to higher education, spanning from faculty, staff, and administrators to executives. Despite titles, all can champion digital initiatives crucial for transformation. Full leadership potential is realized through mutual support; faculty need institutional backing for collaboration, while executives require institution-wide participation for strategic technology implementation.
As such, no experience in strategic leadership or digital transformation is required for this micro-credential. The program is designed to provide you with tactical tools, knowledge, and resources to lead and support digital transformation within your institution, regardless of your job title or prior experience.
You will be asked to use a digital project of your choice throughout the micro-credential. We recommend using a project that you are familiar with. Previous project areas range from course design to employment services to employee recruitment.
Yes! We have built in opportunities for synchronous interactions through our live, weekly, optional discussion sessions. These will give you an opportunity to interact with your peers, clear doubts about any specific topic with your program facilitator or just share your learning journey. Sessions will be held over Zoom. Download the schedule to get an idea of when the facilitated sessions will be occurring.
Every module includes an activity, which you submit at the end of every week when you finish the module. This activity is grading using Pass/Fail. You receive a digital badge for each module completed. Earning all five badges’ awards you the Leadership for Digital Transformation Micro-Credential, recognizing your dedication and expertise in driving digital innovation and transformation in education.
Badges are issued via the platform CanCred.
